Dark Oak Curtain Poles Made In The UK

Dark oak curtain pole with ball finial

Dark Oak Curtain Poles

Dark Oak curtain poles bring warmth, depth and a more traditional character to a room setting. The deeper timber tones highlight the detailing within the Woodland collection particularly well, giving each design a richer and more established appearance.

Handcrafted in our North Yorkshire workshop from solid ash, each pole set is available across all Woodland finial designs, multiple lengths and both 40mm and 50mm diameters. To mention a few, the Langton, Seymour and Oppy designs work particularly well within darker interiors and classic fabric schemes.

Each order is finished to order, with all components selected and hand finished by the same member of our workshop team. This creates a level of ownership and pride throughout the process which we feel is reflected in the finished pole set.

All pole sets are finished with a soft sheen varnish to support longevity and smooth curtain movement.

Matching Accessories & Practical Details

The Woodland collection also includes a range of matching accessories designed to complement each curtain pole finish. Our Peppard holdbacks provide both practical light control and stronger visual framing to the curtain scheme, while the Sonley and Calverley draw rods offer fabric protection together with a satisfying quality in use. Additional brackets, curtain rings and replacement fittings are also available where required, along with our dedicated wall fixing kits for customers relocating existing curtain poles to a new property.

Crafted from Solid Ash

All Woodland curtain pole sets are crafted from solid Canadian white ash, selected for its strength, stability and attractive grain character. As a natural material, variations in colour, grain and texture should always be expected. Each component is carefully selected within our North Yorkshire workshop to ensure every finished pole set sits together beautifully as a complete piece.

All finish treatments are hand applied, including our painted finishes, ensuring depth of finish, evenness of colour and a consistent surface texture. As a rule, we stain the timber before applying several coats of clear protective varnish, allowing the natural wood grain to remain central to the appearance of the finished product.

We do not use jointed wood, fillers or heavily pigmented lacquer finishes, as we believe these processes remove much of the natural character and individuality of the timber. Instead, we prefer to celebrate the grain, texture and subtle variations that make each piece unique.
