Walnut Curtain Poles

Walnut curtain pole with a Langton finial

Walnut Curtain Poles

Walnut curtain poles offer a refined darker timber finish with a softer and more contemporary tone than traditional dark oak. The finish works beautifully within modern interiors while still complementing classic furnishing schemes and heavier fabrics.

Produced in solid ash and hand finished in our North Yorkshire workshop, the Woodland collection is available in a wide range of lengths, diameters and finial designs. The Elemore, Oppy and Millfield designs particularly suit the walnut finish, creating a balanced and understated appearance.

Multiple protective coats provide durability alongside smooth curtain ring glide action.

The Woodland collection also includes a range of matching accessories designed to complement each curtain pole finish. Our Peppard holdbacks provide both practical light control and stronger visual framing to the curtain scheme, while the Sonley and Calverley draw rods offer fabric protection together with a satisfying quality in use. Additional brackets, curtain rings and replacement fittings are also available where required, along with our dedicated wall fixing kits for customers relocating existing curtain poles to a new property.

Crafted from Solid Ash

All Woodland curtain pole sets are crafted from solid Canadian white ash, selected for its strength, stability and attractive grain character. As a natural material, variations in colour, grain and texture should always be expected. Each component is carefully selected within our North Yorkshire workshop to ensure every finished pole set sits together beautifully as a complete piece.

All finish treatments are hand applied, including our painted finishes, ensuring depth of finish, evenness of colour and a consistent surface texture. As a rule, we stain the timber before applying several coats of clear protective varnish, allowing the natural wood grain to remain central to the appearance of the finished product.

We do not use jointed wood, fillers or heavily pigmented lacquer finishes, as we believe these processes remove much of the natural character and individuality of the timber. Instead, we prefer to celebrate the grain, texture and subtle variations that make each piece unique.
