Number of Brackets Required
Our wooden curtain pole system uses two brackets for all single-piece poles, up to a maximum length of 180cm in 40mm diameter and 240cm in 50mm diameter.
Longer pole lengths are supplied in two sections and require a third centre bracket to support the joint and ensure maximum strength and stability.
When using a centre bracket, the curtains should be designed to open from the centre and stack back to each side of the window. As wooden pass-over ("C") rings are not available, curtains cannot pass through the centre bracket.
Our maximum assembled pole lengths are 360cm in 40mm diameter and 480cm in 50mm diameter.
Installing Your Brackets
Every bracket is supplied with screws and wall plugs suitable for standard brick and plaster walls. If your installation differs, we are happy to advise on the most appropriate fixing method.
You can also view our Wood Curtain Pole Fitting Instructions to understand the installation process before ordering.
Curtain Pole Bracket Finishes
Our wooden curtain pole brackets are available in all nine standard finishes, allowing you to match them perfectly with your chosen curtain pole.
Our painted finishes include White (Farrow & Ball All White), Cream (Farrow & Ball Clunch) and Black (Farrow & Ball Pitch Black). We also offer a range of traditional wood stains together with an unfinished option for customers wishing to apply their own finish.
Although we do not provide a bespoke painting service for individual brackets, we are always happy to offer advice on suitable preparation, finishing techniques and paint selection.
Compatibility
Our wooden curtain pole brackets are designed to complement the Cope & Timmins 40mm and 50mm solid ash curtain pole collections. They are also suitable as replacement brackets for many other 40mm and 50mm wooden curtain poles, provided the pole diameter is compatible.
If you are replacing existing brackets and are unsure whether these will be suitable, please contact us. We will be happy to advise before you order.
Hand Finished in North Yorkshire
Every bracket is turned from solid ash and hand finished to order in our North Yorkshire workshop. By manufacturing and finishing each bracket ourselves, we maintain the quality, finish and consistency expected throughout the Cope & Timmins collection.
If you need any advice when selecting brackets for a new installation or as replacements for an existing curtain pole, please contact us. We are always happy to help.
