Our wooden curtain draw rod designs are turned from ash and hand finished to match our curtain pole sets. The Sonley with its smooth handle and the Calverley with the ribbed handle detail will compliment your window treatment ensemble. They also provide a practical solution to reduce the leading edge of curtain fabric from soiling due to opening and closing by hand.
The draw rod has a simple clip and small chain which is used to attach the draw rod to the leading ring and should hang behind your curtain’s leading edge.
In a single movement simply drag your curtains across your window. The rings will glide over your curtain pole until they meet in the centre or where you have a single curtain drop until you reach the opposite bracket. To open simply compress your curtains back along the curtain pole towards the end bracket to stack back the curtain.
We are happy to cut our curtain draw rods to your exact requirements (prior to finishing). The ideal length of the handle should be around 120cm from the floor Our standard length is 98cm including the hanging clip (no hard & fast rule!). It really depends on both your window details and the window treatment you are using. If you would like any further advice, please don’t hesitate to call or email.
